Centrosolar America Receives Intertek Certification Of Centropack Pre-Packaged PV Kit
by Staff Writers
Scottsdale, AZ (SPX) Jul 11, 2011

First Photovoltaic System in the US to be Intertek-listed for Sale as a Complete Installation System

Centrosolar reports that their CentroPack line of pre-packaged solar installation kits is now approved and listed by Intertek as a complete system. Intertek provides electrical safety testing and global certifications for PV (Photovoltaic) modules, AC modules, charge controllers, PV power units, inverters, converters, accessories and components.

The CentroPack, already designed to come standard with UL-listed components, offers the most complete system on the market today and includes not only the module, inverter and racking, but also all the other necessary balance of system components like grounding, wiring, labels, switches and various electrical hardware items necessary for a complete installation - along with fully engineered permit plan sets.

"This certification to National Electrical Code and National Fire Protection Association standards further solidifies the Centropack's position as the most complete pre-packaged system available to installers and sets a new level of product standardization in the US PV industry." says Kristine Weaver, Director of Product Management at Centrosolar America Inc.

"We are continually working with our value-added integrators to reduce their cost of installation with our packaged system approach and just-in-time inventory management solutions. Our studies indicate that small and mid-sized solar installers are already achieving significant savings by adopting the CentroPack model," said Joe Cunningham, Director of Operations at Centrosolar America.

"This Intertek certification of the Centropack as a single unit takes standardization to a new level that will make installations even more cost-efficient, simplifying the ordering process using just one SKU and streamlining the entire installation process."

The CentroPack is warehoused and delivered nationally through Centrosolar's certified distribution centers that also approved by Intertek as part of this certification process. In select states including Arizona, California and New Jersey, the CentroPack is available to residential customers through the new CentroLease program, which allows residential customers new levels of savings through a zero-down payment option.
