Hi-Tech Wealth Launches Solar-Powered Mobile Phone

Hi-Tech Wealth announces the launch of the world's first commercialized solar-powered mobile phone, the "S116." When exposed to direct sunlight for 60 minutes, the S116 battery allows for 40 minutes of talk time. Even when exposed to "weak light" such as sunlight on an overcast day, indoor lighting or candle light, the S116 generates enough electricity to charge the battery.

Additionally, the S116 solar-powered mobile phone incorporates Hi-Tech Wealth's established and well-known information security technology, supports a T-Flash card and features a 1.3 megapixel camera. Over 20 patents have been filed in China to protect the S116's advanced technology. The S116 retails in China for USD$510.

Dr. ZhengYu Zhang, Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of Hi-Tech Wealth stated, "The S116 is a revolutionary product, with unique concepts and features not available anywhere else. The launch of the S116 demonstrates our ability to deliver proprietary and unique products to the high-end consumer market within the PRC. Motorola And GSM Association Deploy Wind And Solar Powered Cell Site With MTC Namibia

Motorola announced that it has deployed a wind and solar power system to operate MTC Namibia's GSM cell site at Dordabis village in the Khomas region of Namibia. The trial with MTC Namibia supports the African operator's strategy for increased voice and data service coverage in rural areas of Namibia and is the first of its kind globally.
