New Labels For US And Canadian Solar Installers

TE Connectivity (TE), formerly Tyco Electronics, extends its line of warning and rating labels with new RoHS-compliant solar identification labels that offer an affordable, simple identification solution for solar installers.

This new product extension includes labels that meet National Electric Code (NEC) specifications for the US solar installation market and Electrical Safety Authority (ESA) specifications for the Canadian solar installation market.

Designed with UV-resistant ink, UV-resistant base material and permanent acrylic adhesive, the labels are extremely durable in outdoor environments and exhibit excellent resilience to rain, humidity, UV- rays, salt spray and more.

Target applications include surfaces constructed with smooth painted metal or The solar identification labels meet industry specifications such as ASTM D 3652 physical construction, ASTM D 3330 adhesion, ASTM D 2979 adhesion, ASTM D 3424 method 4 UV light exposure, ASTM G85 annex 5 salt spray and ASTM 81531 print adherence.
