PROINSO has recently delivered a PV Diesel Hybrid System for an installation in St. Lucy, Barbados, which combine PV panels and a diesel generator as a backup power source. The material supplied by Proinso included SMA Sunny Tripower 15000TL, SMA Fuel Save controller and structure. These products were delivered by PROINSO USA, the subsidiary based in Sacramento, California. The installation will help reduce diesel consumption by 60,000L/year representing 16 % of the total annual fuel consumption with a possible payback in under 5 years.
