Trina Solar has announced that it will be attending the 2013 Solar Energy UK event at Birmingham's NEC, 8th-10th October. At the show, the company will reassure installers and end-users alike of its continuing commitment to the UK market alongside its durability in the face of recent announcements concerning anti-dumping duties and price undertakings, said Richard Rushin, Trina Solar's UK Sales Manager: "We have seen the solar PV industry in the UK gather genuine momentum across all market segments over the past year, in spite of initial concerns about the potential impact of cuts to the Feed-in Tariff. Now, after some testing times as the industry waited for rulings on the issue of anti-dumping, we are confident about the road ahead and want to take the opportunity to assure installers and consumers of our commitment to the UK market." Having taken its time to fully absorb and understand the implications of the anti-dumping ruling, Rushin feels that Trina Solar is in a strong position to capitalise on the shifting state of the market: "It is something we have been saying for some time, but it is abundantly clear now that it is all about quality - of products and services - and certainty of supply for installers and customers. Cheap is no longer cheerful: the playing field has been levelled out for manufacturers, installers and end-users are looking for the best quality they can find from what is undeniably a significant long-term investment," he said. "Trina Solar has built its business on providing high-quality, innovative products and value-add services to the market, and on maintaining a position as a prudent and reliable partner. "The new market landscape has not changed this approach: as the market leader in the UK, we are in the strongest financial position within our peer group, and still growing fast thanks to high-quality products and services. At Solar Energy UK 2013 we will be showcasing Trinasmart, our latest innovation for fully-integrated PV systems," Rushin continued. Trinasmart is a performance optimiser integrated into Trina Solar's monocrystalline Honey M module range. It enables the monitoring and control of arrays at a modular level and increases system performance by up to 20 per cent. Users have real-time access to all module data through their smartphone or laptop, with the ability to switch off the entire array with a single click in case of emergency. Trinasmart works with all kinds of inverter, does not require extra wiring, and makes it possible to run up to 30 per cent longer module strings. Trina Solar will also be exhibiting its black module range, in addition to its standard PV products. "The message from Trina Solar to the UK PV market is that we are very much here to stay. We are fully confident that we are ahead of the game when it comes to adjusting to the new market landscape, ready to continue providing high-performance modules, top quality service, certainty and reliability, and the knowledge and advice that installers and end-users need to help them purchase compliantly whilst understand the changing industry conditions," Rushin concluded.
