TE Connectivity (TE) is pleased to showcase its next generation solutions for solar connectivity at this year's Intersolar Europe tradeshow, from 13 - 15 June in Munich. As the photovoltaic market becomes more mature and commercially viable, leading solar suppliers are counting on solutions which are energy efficient, high performance and easy to install, so lowering the total cost of ownership.

TE is also introducing its new SOLARLOK Breeze Junction Box. The innovative design of this solution enables it to conduct heat away from the panel so that it can produce electricity more efficiently. It also features a horizontal cable outlet that enables reduced cabling and easy installation.

Finally, the new SOLARLOK PV4 Connector simplifies and accelerates the installation process. It also boasts a high protection factor and reliable performance.

The intelligent link from the panel to the grid counts on connectivity - we look forward to discussing how solar suppliers count on TE Connectivity!

Intelligent Solar Connectivity Solutions
TE's next generation intelligent solution allows continuous monitoring of power, current voltage and internal temperatures at the panel or system level, which allows efficient system management from anywhere in the world. Data can be accessed and controlled locally or remotely with a PC, smart phone or tablet.

Automatic shutdown and alarm features for excess voltage, currents and temperatures are also included and can be controlled remotely. This helps industrial and end-users to gauge their energy consumption.

The solution allows individual panel shutdown as it identifies and isolates the faulty or damaged panel, without interrupting the whole system. Targeting the fault location also saves time and resources enabling a solution to be identified much faster, especially in complex and large infrastructures. Other key benefits include quick installation using wireless connectivity, minimal downtime and preventive maintenance leading to increased productivity.

SOLARLOK Breeze Junction Box
The SOLARLOK Breeze junction box is a new and innovatively designed 4-rail junction box, featuring diodes which are overmolded on the exterior of the box. This compact design offers space savings and enables as much heat as possible to be conducted away from the panel, increasing cell efficiency and hence system performance. Other key benefits include a horizontal outlet design that aids easy installation and reduces cable length, in turn increasing system performance.

The connection can withstand up to 250N of cable pull force, dramatically limiting the risk of disconnection through accidental pulls. The SOLARLOK Breeze junction box is the next evolution of junction boxes - paving the way for making the sun a friendly source of energy for all.

SOLARLOK PV4 Connector
The SOLARLOK PV4 connector is a connectivity solution for thin-film and crystalline panel suppliers and installers. The connector is quick and easy to assemble. To support the installation community, TE offers free training in many languages for all of its solar solutions.

The SOLARLOK PV4 connector has one of the highest protection levels in its IP68 class and has been engineered for reliable performance in demanding and harsh environments. The PV4 connector can be installed on all junction boxes from TE's SOLARLOK range. All TE Solar business unit products are tested to ensure consistency and compatibility alongside the full TE integrated portfolio.

Eric Leijtens, General Manager of the TE Solar business unit at TE Connectivity commented: "We are excited to be launching three innovative offerings which are complementary to our existing broad range of SOLARLOK offerings. Each of these has been specifically developed to meet our customers' needs for cost effective, reliable and efficient solar energy connectivity. The new products confirm TE's commitment to offer top quality solutions to ensure that solar is not just a viable source of energy, but the future of it."
