Arista Power report that the Genesee County Economic Development Center (GCEDC) has partnered with Arista Power to launch a new community solar purchasing initiative, called "Solarize Genesee." Solarize Genesee is a solar purchasing program available to the community that offers bulk pricing, a complete streamlined process from site assessment to installation and tax incentive form assistance, educational workshops, and local workforce training. The program will be available to all Genesee County home and business owners, farmers, institutions, and municipalities on a first come, first serve basis for a limited time. Site assessments are complimentary. Interested parties should visit www.aristapower.com and click on Solarize Genesee to receive more information. John Benetti, Project Director at Arista Power, said, "We are taking the successful community solar purchasing model that we implemented with the Solarize Madison County program and are bringing it to Genesee County. "The Solarize program simplifies buying a solar system and uses bulk purchasing and cost efficiencies to offer solar purchasers an attractive return on investment. "Our customers are realizing how effective solar energy generation works in New York and in many cases they are able to eliminate over 90% of their electric bill. With our solar community purchasing program, combined with tax incentives, our solar customers can have paybacks as low as just a couple of years, with several decades of ongoing benefit." "Our partnership with Arista Power will provide Genesee County businesses and residents the opportunity to learn more about solar energy as a way to potentially lower their electricity costs in an environmentally friendly way," said Steve Hyde, president and CEO of the Genesee County Economic Development Center. "We are excited to be partnering with such a reputable solar energy company, as Arista Power offers competitive pricing and incentives, an experienced installation team, and a strong network of suppliers." Bill Schmitz, CEO of Arista Power, said, "Madison County's Solarize program created a lot of community buzz and many residents and businesses have benefitted from that program. "We collaborated with community leaders, local contractors, and the area educational institutions to offer a full suite of benefits to this community program. Not only is it good for the environment, it's good for community bonding, the local economy, and solar buyers' pocketbooks."
