San Antonio TX (SPX) Dec 18, 2008 Sunrise Solar has announced the successful completion of its first Asian mission. The Company's Chief Technology Officer, Dr. Jun Kim, met with executives of solar partners and suppliers in Korea and China setting the foundation for the Company's future growth. "We expect the relationships we have established with these key industry partners to provide a base from which we will successfully implement our plan to develop major solar assets and introduce innovative solar solutions in this hemisphere," stated Eddie Austin, Chairman and CEO of Sunrise Solar Corp. "We have reached the inflection point in America where alternative energy has entered the mainstream and we expect to see widespread adoption in the years ahead." The United States trails nations such as Brazil, Germany and Japan in alternative energy development. U.S. Companies like SSLR, First Solar and Suntech Power Holdings are racing to catch up to international solar leaders such as Japan and Germany. SSLR is actively developing projects and new technologies in the U.S. but has seen the biggest opportunities present themselves in emerging markets that need to expand their access to alternative energy.
