In a significant development, BlackSky Technology Inc. (NYSE: BKSY) has clinched a multi-year contract worth more than $30 million. The international agreement involves providing on-demand, real-time high-frequency imagery services to a client within the international defense sector.
Brian E. O'Toole, BlackSky CEO, emphasized the company's integral role in the client's daily operations. BlackSky enhances situational awareness through the supply of high-frequency imagery from dawn-to-dusk and the application of AI-driven analytics. "BlackSky is an instrumental part of this customer's day-to-day operations, improving situational awareness through high-frequency, dawn-to-dusk imagery and AI-driven analytics," stated O'Toole.
This new contract, which is based on a longstanding partnership, is set to triple the customer's demand over the next two years. "Built upon years of a well-developed partnership, this contract triples this customer's demand over the next two years," added O'Toole.
The agreement, by ensuring priority and assured capacity, serves as a testament to how clients are guaranteeing access to BlackSky's services wherever and whenever necessary for their key operational needs.
