SES NEW SKIES has announced that Arrowhead Global Solutions has concluded a multi-year agreement for 90MHz of capacity on the upcoming NSS-12 satellite. Arrowhead will use the capacity to support U.S. government needs over the Middle East and East Africa.

As CapRock Communications' government and military division, Arrowhead supports the mission-critical needs of more than thirty government agency customers and thousands of associated end-users.

Arrowhead has provided the DoD marketplace with innovative and rapidly deployable commercial bandwidth solutions for close to twenty years.

SES NEW SKIES' NSS-12 satellite is scheduled for operational service in the second half of 2009 and will replace the existing NSS-703 satellite at the orbital location of 57 degrees East.

"We are extremely excited about using NEW SKIES' NSS-12 satellite to help meet the needs of our government clients," said Arrowhead Vice President Operations Division, David Cavossa. "This capacity will ideally serve Arrowhead's legacy customers in regions of Southwest Asia and Africa."

"Arrowhead has been a longstanding customer of SES NEW SKIES and we value this new, multi-year business on NSS-12, one of our new state-of-the-art spacecraft which by next year is poised to be one of the most powerful and versatile in the entire SES fleet," said SES NEW SKIES, Vice President North American Sales, Andrew Ruszkowski.

"The fact that Arrowhead and other longstanding customers contract significant amounts of capacity on NSS-12 ahead of its launch clearly demonstrates that this powerful new satellite is very much in demand."
