Comtech Telecommunications has announced that its Maryland-based subsidiary, Comtech Mobile Datacom Corporation, received orders totaling $1.1 million on its Movement Tracking System, or MTS contract, with the U.S. Army. Total orders received to date against the $418.2 million MTS contract increased to $392.1 million.
The orders are for the supply of Comtech's MT-2012 mobile satellite transceivers, ruggedized and control station computers, installation kits, technical support services and miscellaneous system components. Comtech's Model MT-2012 mobile satellite transceivers feature embedded Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology, including Savi Technology's ISO-compliant EchoPoint RFID Reader, as well as secure Global Positioning System (GPS) capabilities.
