Corvus Energy has announced that it has created a new liquid cooled version of its industry-leading Energy Storage System (ESS) module.
The AT6500 was the world's first lithium battery to be engineered for use in heavy industrial applications, such as hybrid drive systems for commercial vessels and port cranes.
Originally released in 2010, the innovative battery helped define the hybrid industry in marine markets.
It is the most successful battery of its type having been deployed in more than 90% of large commercial systems worldwide.
"The AT6500 liquid cooled is the logical next step in product development," said Sean Puchalski, Vice President, Business Development of Corvus Energy.
"The increased performance of the new version allows us to reach many more customer applications that until now were not economically viable."
