iSECUREtrac has announced that it was awarded a contract for electronic monitoring systems and services by the Kenton County (KY) Detention Center. Operating under the jurisdiction of the Kenton County Jail, the Detention Center supervises both pre-trial defendants and convicted offenders.
To participate in its Electronic Monitoring Program, which would remove the individual from incarceration and place them in a community supervision program, inmates must petition the Court for acceptance.
To track and monitor program participants, the Kenton County Detention Center will be utilizing iSECUREtrac's System 5000, which incorporates the industry's most advanced GPS components to provide location and compliance information in real-time.
In addition, iSECUREtrac, through its Monitoring Center Intervention service, will attempt to resolve common non-compliance issues through direct contact with program participants without the assistance of a County officer.
If iSECUREtrac is unable to resolve the violation, the situation is escalated to a sworn County officer according to pre-established procedures and protocols. All violations and iSECUREtrac interactions with program participants are recorded and archived for later review by County officers and/or the Courts.
"We look forward to working with Terry Carl, the Kenton County Jailer, and his entire Command Staff," said Peter Michel, President and CEO of iSECUREtrac.
"The wealth of information and officer support supplied by iSECUREtrac's electronic monitoring systems and services can help Detention Center officers better manage program compliance and reinforce those positive behaviors necessary for a successful transition from incarceration to full community re-entry."
