Northrop Grumman Corporation has named Joseph J. Ensor as vice president of Surveillance and Remote Sensing for the company's Electronic Systems sector. Ensor will have executive responsibility for all programs and operations of the Surveillance and Remote Sensing business area, including operations in Baltimore; Azusa, Calif.; and Boulder and Colorado Springs, Colo.
Ensor joined the company in 1979 and has held a number of management positions in engineering, logistics and program management.
In 1992, he was named program manager for the Stingray Laser Program and held subsequent program management positions on the Reconnaissance, Intelligence, Surveillance and Target Acquisition, Airborne Surveillance Minefield Detection System and United Kingdom Replacement Maritime Patrol Aircraft programs.
In 2000, he was named program manager for the Block 60 Integrated FLIR Targeting System program, and, in 2002, was appointed program director for a classified radar program. Since 2005, he has served as vice president of Combat Avionics Systems.
Ensor earned a bachelor's degree in computer science from Loyola College in Baltimore and a master's degree in business administration from the University of Maryland. He completed the General Manager Program at Harvard Business School and the University of Maryland's Executive Marketing Strategy Program.
