Q.CELLS North America, a subsidiary of Q.CELLS SE and global leader in designing, building and managing financially sustainable solar photovoltaic (PV) solutions, has announced its latest high-efficiency PV solar module at Solar Power International 2012. Q.PRO L features 72 cells that combines both high performance and long-term reliability that optimizes balance of systems cost savings on the system level.

As the largest addition to the Q.CELLS module family, Q.PRO L is designed to yield up to 300 Wp power for utility scale use in North American solar markets.

"Our high quality modules reduce risk for investors and system operators, while simultaneously minimizing the overall levelized cost of electricity," said Boris Schubert, CEO of Q.CELLS North America.

"Q.PRO L is another example of how Q.CELLS is redefining the Quality in solar PV systems by setting a higher standard for performance, realiabiliy and consistency."

The introduction of Q.PRO L is another milestone for Q.CELLS North America this year. Shortly after completing one of the largest silicon crystalline photovoltaic (PV) projects in North America, the 69 MW project in Ontario, Canada, Q.CELLS North America announced the completion of 39 MW of solar power plants in California's Central Valley in partnership with PG and E as part of the its utility-owned generation (UOG) program.

"In the last two years, Q.CELLS North America has designed and installed more than 100 MWp of PV power plants in the North American market," said Schubert.

"Our innovative financing capabilities and our understanding of the regulatory issues involved, as well as our established track record and power plant experience make Q.CELLS North America the partner of choice for customers who want reliable and predictable energy solutions."
