Earthsponse, a Central New York-based renewable energy solutions company, has announced its involvement in a new program funding solar installations across New York State.
New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) released details yesterday on a $74 million project to fund the installation of energy efficiency measures, renewable energy systems, and alternative fuel vehicles.
Funding is available for up to 100% of a solar installation for local governments, public K-12 schools, public universities and colleges, hospitals, and not-for-profit organizations through the State Energy Program (SEP) and the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA). The funding will be awarded on a first-come, first-serve basis with a qualifying process for each of the proposals.
Earthsponse is currently creating and submitting proposals to submit to the NYSERDA qualification process for funding. Earthsponse has an extensive technical design and legal team, in addition to an established training center, certified dealer network, and industry-leading solar products.
The NYSERDA program will provide the necessary resources for organizations to invest in projects that will help reduce energy consumption, lower greenhouse gas emissions, and protect the environment. Solar is a clean, sustainable energy source that reduces utility bills over its 25+ year lifetime. The ARRA renewed previous incentives for solar installations, and the additional NYSERDA program will further increase the amount of clean energy used in New York State.
As proposals come in, they will be assessed and awarded with funding for a complete solar installation. The deadline for proposals is August 24, 2009. For additional information or a free immediate estimate and proposal, please contact Earthsponse at 866-94-EARTH (option 3) or [email protected].
